As I ride through our neighborhood, I am amazed the number of garage doors left open with no one in site. It takes a "thief" only a minute to decide what to steal - then take it.

 

If anyone in the neighborhood has a Solicitor knocking on their door - call the Forney Police - 972-552-3932 to report the person(s) - give description of what they are wearing, the direction they are walking, etc. These groups are suppose to have a permit to go door to door - 99.9% don't - and several have had outstanding warrants from out of state.

 

Do not leave valuables in your vehicle in plain view - if the things in plain sight in your vehicle are worth something to you - then a thief may break out a window and take the items to sell.

 

Park in your drive way if possible and not on the street.

 

Be safe - out think the thief
